Typically the width is between 29 & 30 inches. The number of inches in the rise of step(s) determines the length of ramp necessary. For every inch of rise, you will need one foot of ramp.
Residential lifts - Stairlifts and Vertical Platform Lifts provide easier access to different levels outside and within the residence that are not accessible due to stairs or lack of ramps. The Stairlifts allow the user who cannot manage to climb stairs to be carried up and down stairs safely, comfortably and effortlessly. The Stairlifts can be installed for a straight or curved stairway. The Vertical Platform Lifts provides affordable, reliable and safe access to outside porches and decks.
In order to determine the appropriate length of ramp, measure the height step(s). For every inch of measurement, you will need one foot of ramp. In other words, there is a 1": 12" ratio. We offer a variety of lengths of ramps - 2' to 12'. The ramp width is 29.5".
